NVIDIA to organize first Overwatch tournament in India

Blizzard is the undisputed champion of multiplayer strategy games, which is somewhat comparable by the titles of Dota and Dota 2 (made by valve, roots to Dota). And it has recently considered dominating in the FPS( first person shooter) genre through Overwatch and as a result, in just a matter of months the game has dominated the market well and is exceeding all the expectations.

And it has emerged amongst the best-selling FPS titles of all time with a record of 15 million active players worldwide. According to the reports by credible sources, since the month of its release Overwatch is consistently on top of the best-selling charts. And these reports do not take into account Overwatch’s PC sales.

Dota, Counter Strike and Call of Duty have plagued the Indian competitive gaming scene for far too long. Consequently, this has been taken into account by Nvidia and is making amendments to it.

Nvidia and GeForce are sponsoring India’s first-ever Overwatch tournament pass an initiative. The purpose is to promote competitive gaming community in the country. It is a chance for Indians to prove their dedication to the sport.

Eight cafes across the country will host the participating teams. Nvidia and their best-selling GeForce GTX graphics card have certified each of the eight gaming cafes.
