Overwatch Open casters and analysts team revealed
The analyst and commentary team of the Overwatch open has just been revealed, and ELEAGUE is doing the best it could to scout the best talent out of every region. Moreover, the team of the casters will happen to include Call of Duty caster Matt “Mr. X” Morello, Halo commentator Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez, Auguste “Semmler” Massonnat and Counter-Strike‘s Anders Blume
And at the analyst desk, we will see StarCraft II professional Chris “Huk” Loranger, Rachel “Seltzer” Quirico and Overwatch caster Andrew “ZP” Rush. And the sideline reporting of the whole tournament will be covered by Malik Forte of Bleacher.
The fact that Overwatch doesn’t have its very own big panel of casters is attributed to the fact that Overwatch is new. And it all makes sense. Paul “Redeye” Chaloner, who happen to be one of the best casters in the industry, has shared his views on Twitter that to hold a long career in eSports; the casters should diversify their games.
In July, we will see the qualifying rounds of Overwatch Open. From September 25-26, the North American Regional Finals will take place, making way for the European Regional Finals from September 28-29. On September 30 the winners of the respective region will face off each other in the grand finals. Twitch will be broadcasting the whole tournament.
